SPG One is delighted to be supporting Wabi-sabi, Beauty in Imperfection, a collaborative exhibition between the Musée Barbier-Mueller and celebrated photographer Steve McCurry.
The Musée Barbier-Mueller invited Steve McCurry to curate an exhibition conveying their shared values of openness to humanity and sensitivity to beauty. The artist has explored the philosophy of Wabi-sabi - the beauty of imperfection, through 30 of his works.
Combining images by Steve McCurry with objects from its collections, the resulting juxtapositions suggested by the Musée Barbier-Mueller offer a new perspective on one of the most recognized photographers in the world, creating echoes, both narrative and aesthetic.
Ahead of your visit, preview highlights from the exhibition and watch an interview with Steve McCurry in an exclusive film, introduced by Eveline de Proyart, Chairwoman - Christie’s Switzerland and Valentine Barbier-Mueller, Board Member - SPG One.
